RANE Scenario Planning Session for the Historic Energy Crisis in Europe
Strategic Energy Briefing from the Stratfor Center for Applied Geopolitics at RANE is open to the public
New York, NY – RANE (Risk Assistance Network + Exchange) will host a special virtual briefing session examining the outlook for the global energy market on October 19 at 9:00 am EDT / 2:00 pm BST.
European energy markets were roiled when Russia invaded Ukraine in early 2022. Supplies tightened after the West imposed sanctions on Russia, and after an alleged act of sabotage, Nordstream 1 is severely damaged and unable to deliver natural gas to Europe.
Europe has spent the months since the Ukraine invasion stockpiling energy reserves, but questions remain over whether there is enough to get through the winter, and if Russia will start targeting the continent's maritime oil and gas industry or elsewhere.
“The European Union’s push to reduce its reliance on Russian natural gas means thatMoscow’s window to use gas exports to pressure European states is closing fast, which increases the probability of Moscow taking drastic action before its "energy weapon" is gone forever,” says RANE’s Eurasia analyst Matthew Orr.
RANE’s European sales director, Marketa Kytkova says, "RANE is excited to support our European clients on a topic impacting companies in the region and to share our expertise on a situation that is critically important now and in the future."
Join RANE’s panel of experts as they deliver strategic intelligence on the risks ahead forEurope’s energy situation, and how that could affect supplies and prices for global businesses.
