Client Success Executive

We are looking to hire a Client Success Executive. This quota-bearing salesperson will be focused on deepening and strengthening existing client relationships, improving client retention rates, and cross-selling and upselling new solutions.

The Client Success Team plays a critical role in supporting RANE’s gross and net retention efforts and the Client Success Executive has the opportunity to make a significant impact on the performance of our business and to build a strong career path within our business. This is an ideal role for a salesperson with 2-3 years of experience to grow and develop both sales skills/capabilities, as well as a sophisticated understanding of the enterprise risk landscape, including: geopolitical, safety & security, cyber & information security, and legal/ regulatory/ compliance.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Build relationships with clients in your assigned territory, understanding their role, responsibility and use-case
  • Engage proactively with all clients in territory on a regular basis to identify any potential risks with existing contracts and to mitigate those risks ahead of renewal, ensuring gross retention rate > 95%
  • Support upgrade initiatives by prospecting into pool of ecommerce subscribers to identify professional users and promote enterprise solutions
  • Ensure client is fully aware of RANE’s capabilities; conduct discovery to uncover potential opportunities for upsell/ cross-sell to achieve 110%+ net retention rate
  • Conduct account planning to map out potential opportunities within other parts of the client’s organization
  • Create regular communication flow with clients on areas of focus/ interest to them
  • Manage sales cycles with clients
  • Reliable pipeline and forecast management
  • Consistently exceed revenue, retention and pipeline growth objectives
  • Work well with internal partners across RANE’s organization‍

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of one year as a revenue-generating enterprise salesperson in either new business or account management with demonstrated track record of exceeding targets
  • Collaborative, team player who can adapt to a fast-paced, small company environment
  • Knowledge of the Risk and Compliance industry, the Financial Services industry or the Legal and Regulatory industry is preferred

Global Security Analyst - Dedicated Client, Asia-Pacific Focus

As a member of RANE’s team of analysts, you will be responsible for developing high-quality and forward-looking analysis, related to corporate security, travel safety, business continuity, cyber security, organized crime, global terrorism, and health and environmental crises. In this dedicated analyst role, you will focus on a single client, a leading U.S. advanced technologies conglomerate. On a regular basis you will provide support and analysis of Asia-Pacific regional, as well as global, issues for the client’s Corporate Security team, together with reports outlining areas of concern or developing issues that may need additional monitoring. The information and analysis provided will enable leadership to make informed decisions on operational issues and for the safety and security of everyone who works for the client and their real estate portfolio across the world. The dedicated analyst role will be trained in the RANE geopolitical methodology and have the opportunity to partner and interact with colleagues across the broader RANE organization and gain exposure to a range of industries and risk topics, including cyber and information; physical safety and security; and legal, regulatory, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be based in either the U.S. Central, Mountain, or Pacific time zone to facilitate global coverage.

General Responsibilities

  • Conducting research and analysis leveraging open source, as well as proprietarycontent/data sets, and in-house subject matter experts
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of threats toward the client
  • Threat monitoring and associated analytical reporting on known or emerging security risks to the company's assets worldwide
  • Identify, investigate, analyze, and manage threats to executive staff and employees
  • Active participation in daily RANE team meetings

Client-Specific Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing processes and applications to deliver daily reports to key internal clients
  • Collect, analyze, and distribute security, safety, health, environmental, and business continuity intelligence on a regular basis that may have an impact on client staff and operations. This will include, but is not limited to the following:
  • Physical safety (crime, wrongful detention affecting travelers and expats, kidnapping, terrorism)
  • Political developments (change of governments, elections, protests/rallies, violent public disorder, industrial actions, attempted or successful coups, attempted or successful assassination of political, religious, military figures that impact public order)
  • Freedom of movement (changes in border status, curfews, planned enhancement of security control measures, closure of major arterial roads, airspace control)
  • Armed conflict (inter-state or intra-state conflict, internal security operations, conflict resolution, weapons tests)
  • Infrastructure (disruption to critical national infrastructure, essential power failures, food and water shortages, aviation accidents)
  • Natural disasters (earthquakes, wildfires, tsunamis, extreme weather events)
  • Emergent health issues (evolution of the pandemic, epidemics, health preparedness)

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Creativity and clarity in constructing clear, logical arguments with supporting evidence; strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent writing, research, briefing, and editorial capabilities—strong command of English language and grammar
  • Regional expertise in a specific location like China, South Korea, Taiwan, and/or India is highly desirable, as are relevant language skills
  • Rigor and resourcefulness in conducting research
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders; flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements are critical
  • Demonstrated sense of initiative and curiosity; willingness to ask questions and get answers

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree with demonstrated academic achievement required
  • 5-7+ years experience in threat analysis in either the public or private sector required; either U.S. or Allied national security agency support or through previous work in the corporate security / global intelligence team at a leading multi-national corporation or risk consultancy
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Previous qualitative research and report-writing experience in a professional domain required
  • Demonstrated sense of initiative and curiosity; willingness to ask questions and get answers
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to function in a start-up atmosphere; comfort with ambiguity and change

Additional Requirements

  • Role will be remote with a strong preference for candidates located west of the Mississippi River to accommodate client time zone coverage
  • Candidates will be required to provide a writing sample

Salary range - $70 - 90K depending on experience.

RANE Latin America Analyst

As a member of RANE’s core team of analysts, you will be responsible for developing high-quality and forward-looking analysis related to significant political, economic, and security developments in the Latin America region. You will also be responsible for ensuring that clients are well-served by proactively identifying geopolitical trends while conducting deeper research on key topics including but not limited to political, economic, social, military, energy, technology and trade dynamics. Analysts have direct engagement with clients by supporting inbound geopolitical inquiries and providing briefings. Analysts also play a critical role in our forecasting process and production of Key Forecast Questions and scenario building. You will be trained in the RANE geopolitical methodology and have the opportunity to partner and interact with colleagues across the broader RANE organization and gain exposure to a range of industries and risk topics, including cyber and information; physical safety and security; and legal, regulatory, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis on Latin American countries, trends and developments leveraging open source information, as well as proprietary content/data sets, and in-house subject matter experts
  • Produce daily written content, develop longer-form analysis, and provide briefings to current and potential RANE clients on Latin American issues
  • Actively participate in daily RANE team meetings and forecasting process

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Creativity and clarity in constructing clear, logical arguments with supporting evidence; strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent writing, research, briefing, and editorial capabilities; strong command of English language and grammar
  • Rigor and resourcefulness in conducting open-source research, to include that of local media outlets across the globe, social media, government and commercial data, and academic and trade publications
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders; flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements are critical
  • Specific expertise on Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela, and/or Central America is particularly desirable, but any regional background is beneficial
  • Well-rounded and in-depth understanding of any of the following is highly desirable: political economy, regional security and/or trends in energy, technology, and trade

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree with demonstrated academic achievement required
  • Minimum of two years’ relevant work experience
  • Spanish (or Portuguese) language skills are highly desirable

RANE Sales Executive

We are looking for a new business Sales Executive to join our growing team supporting the company’s expanding footprint in the UK and Europe. The Sales Executive will be responsible for selling our risk intelligence and monitoring platforms and business intelligence and advisory services to CXOs across a variety of industries, government entities and non-profit organizations.  

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and close a pipeline of opportunities following a full-spectrum business development process, including prospecting, discovery calls, demos, scoping conversations, proposal development, negotiations and closing
  • Implement a consultative sales approach where you learn about your client’s challenges and propose ways of alleviating these challenges with relevant solutions; solutions can encompass one or multiple of our firm’s intelligence subscriptions and advisory service offerings 
  • Manage sales cycles with various decision makers across multiple industry segments, while ensuring you are maximizing commercial value across these organizations
  • Provide weekly pipeline reviews with accurate forecasting and client feedback & achieve quarterly and annual sales targets 
  • Represent RANE at events and build a regional network of clients and prospects to share insights and contribute to building a brand awareness

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of proven track record in new business quota carrying sales role
  • Experience in selling regulatory risk related technology/intelligence information solutions to large corporations, government entities, security and financial firms is preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • European language in addition to fluency in English advantageous 
  • Collaborative, team player who thrives in a fast paced/changing environment
  • Strong relationship builder with ability to become a trusted advisor to clients
